Emily Walker’s passion for cooking is the foundation of her life’s work as a culinary, wine, and beverage specialist with over 13 years in the hospitality industry. After obtaining a Culinary Arts degree from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York, Walker pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Advanced Wine and Hospitality.
Curious and eager to learn every facet of the industry, Walker’s experience spans from line cook at Restaurant August in New Orleans; to Front of House team at Element 47 in Aspen’s premier The Little Nell hotel; and, most recently, sommelier at iconic New Orleans dining institutions Domenica and Brennan’s, respectively.
Walker stepped into the sommelier role at Copper Vine Winepub in the fall of 2021 and is excited to bring her expertise to a polished casual dining experience where excellent wine and food are the perfect match for superb hospitality and good times in the Crescent City.
Walker also serves as the sommelier for Brechtel Hospitality’s newest venture, Bonfire Events + Catering, selecting bottles for any celebration or unique wine pairings for seated events.
